Three Children Still Hadn’t Been Discovered Late in the Nights Since Earlier in the Day, They’d Gone Down into the Streams to Swim

Another accident, because it’s hot, and it’s the summertime, and we all want to, get cool, to go for a swim, and, I’m more than certain, that this still won’t be the LAST of its “kind”, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

The Authorities Suspected that the Children Had Gone for Their Swim in the Noon Hours, They’d Left Their Clothes by the Shores, the Rescuers Searched in the Dark, and Still Not Found Anything, by the Dali Creekside, the Parents Waited Anxiously

Three elementary school boys yesterday after playing basketball, got together, and decided to go for a swim, and still hadn’t returned by the early evening hours; the family discovered only their clothes by the Creekside, they worried that something might happen to their young, they’d notified the police immediately.  The Fire Department sent out a search and rescue team, and to the late night hours, still hadn’t found the children yet; the families started crying, as they waited, hoping to hear some good news.

The three young boys who went missing went to three different elementary schools, they were, two fifth graders, Lee (age 11), Chen (age 12), and a first grader, Su (age 8); they met at the basketball court of their local borough just five days ago, and became friends.

Su’s older brother told, that he’d heard someone mentioned “let’s go for a swim”, but the school had multiple times, educated on how unsafe it was, so he didn’t go; his younger brother followed, and he’d not stopped him, now his younger brother was missing, he too, got stressed out, didn’t know what he should do.

not my photograph…

“I only have a son!”, Chen’s father told, that his son went to the activities center to shoot some hoops, and he had NO idea what his son did after he was done playing basketball, at around five in the afternoon, his wife realized that their son wasn’t home yet, so he went out to search, and found his son’s bicycle, by the bridge front in Pingling Bridge, and the basketball, as well as a blue shirt that belonged to the other children, he’d immediately called it in.

The Fire Department of Taichung received Liu’s call at around four in the afternoon, that there was a sighting, of teenagers falling into the water by the Creekside Bridge, the fire department immediately sent out the rescuers, at five, they’d received a call from Chen’s father that he was nowhere to be found.  The Fire Department sent out over a hundred firefighters, split into eight groups, searched by the shores, and searched throughout the local bridges too, but, late in the night, they still weren’t able to find the three missing children.

“Did you find them yet?”, the parents of the three missing children kept asking for updates, and one of the parents had cried.  The police investigated, that the three children probably left at around noon yesterday, to swim in the streams.  Chen’s father told, that his son might have gotten into the waters as early as noon yesterday, and it wasn’t until four in the afternoon, was the call made to the fire department, that they may have missed out on the time of search and rescue, “MY son can’t swim!”, as he’d told, he’d started, crying again.

Heed the warnings where available!!!

The mayor of the city, Lin pointed out, that the fire department is doing a complete and thorough search; the Department of Education’s director, Peng said, they’d already contacted the schools, the parents, and were offering them the needed assistance.

The parents of some of the local students said, that the area where the three children went missing had no drowning incidents reported, but, there was NO blockades, that if the children played in the creek sides, it would be, hard, to avoid the accidents.

And so, chances are, that these children are all dead, because their parents weren’t paying close enough attention to them, because it’s summertime, and it’s getting hot, and we all need to cool down, and that, is why these drowning accidents happen so much.
