Mishaps, the unexpected, ruining your wedding day photo shoot, translated…
I thought, that I get to become a beautiful princess, if I dressed up in white, with the floral head dress, I get to become those beautiful princesses in the fairytales, until that day.
That day, I’d worn the wedding gowns and headed to the photo shoots with my husband, the photographer had a flat tire, and so, we can only head to the garage first, and, the garage was held together by steel poles and plastic tarp, with tires scattered all around and about.
not my photo…
I’d mumbled, is this a place where a princess should even be in? Everybody was kind enough, to have me, sit in the car, then all of a sudden, the mechanic stated, “There can’t be anybody inside the car”. And so, I’d, stooped outside, with my high heels on. “It’s a bride!”, I’d flashed my beautiful smile, toward that child that lifted her head off of her homework to look at me.
The mechanic pulled out one of those plastic chairs, the kind from the roadside food stands for me to sit, I’d, leaned on the round table, and saw how the plastic film had peeled off. I’d, hiked up my lace dress, tried to maintain my beautiful looks, all of a sudden, the red light came on, the cars moved upward, and I’d looked upon those eyes that gazed out from under the motorcycle helmets, with the exhaust keep, getting in my face, and that, was the first time I’d realized, how long a red light lasted.
And, the bad feelings of the bride inside the garage wasn’t over yet. On the day we’d gone to select the photos, I’d screamed out angrily at my husband, “Why didn’t you tell me that wearing the floral headdress makes my face look so large?”, my husband started panicking, and stuttered, while my brains just started ringing.
My face looked so oversize, for an entire day!
not my photograph…
The photographer’s assistance in order to soothe my displeasures, kept photoshopping the pictures, I’d told her, to do more, here, there, but she was honest, “If I photoshop anymore, it wouldn’t be you then.”, the beautiful princess, the elf, and that cute looking angel, I will NEVER be again in this lifetime.
You would think, that having a GOOD marriage would be more important, than how you look in your wedding photos, and yet, this, is how the younger generations do things, the younger generations (not that I’m old or anything!!!), they’re all focused on looking pretty, like a princess, on their wedding day pictures, without realizing, that hey, the lights are going to get turned off soon, and, they’re all going to be left, with just ONE of their glass slippers (‘cuz they’d lost one, running away from the ball???), as the clock struck TWELVE!!!
