The members of the Marines had brutally murdered a dog, caused the DPP angry, and there’s a witch hunt for the responsible now. Times had changed a lot, now, the death of a dog can get the national guards moving.
The former lieutenant general Lee sparked the belief of the life humans isn’t as worthy as the life of a dog.
Of course, this is not saying, that the lives of these dogs don’t matter, of course, humans should treat animals kindly, and the servicemen who’d tortured the stray dog needed to be punished severely; but, for a dog, the government is heated up, in the future, if the Communists attacked Taiwan, they could easily place a few dogs in the Taiwanese army’s midst, and it’d, ruined us all.
When, would the public that’s angered by the actions of these army officers wake up, and see, that this goes beyond the murder and torture of an innocent animal?
So, instead of seeing this as an isolated act, the country should start rethinking the disciplines of the soldiers, I mean, something MUST be happening, to cause the servicemen to act so cruel toward a powerless animal, or, are humans just, no longer kind???
