Translated…

The Wang’s youngest son is an infant with a large head, about to turn two, being the youngest in his home, with parents older, and no younger siblings he could pick on, and because he’s casted out by his older sister for not being able to read yet, he can only befriend the stuffed animals, and the blocks, and other toys lying around in the house seeing how his parents, and his older sister are independent, and he is the one left behind, other than feeling dissatisfied, the youngest Wang started concocting a plan of his own, to try to find a solid spot for himself at home.

Plan One: Becoming a Faithful Fan of His Older Sister

As the youngest child, he’d needed someone, to suck up to actually, the person is his older sister, who’s a sort of his equal.  In his mind, “the sister’s help beats the help from all around”, especially on the subject of getting more snacks and play time too, his articulate sister had been able to get them both the needed discounts; and every time, he’d only needed to, open up his eyes wide, looked so innocent, then, he’d gotten the chance to have all the foods, and play all the games he wanted.  Plus, his older sister is always on his side, having someone to fend on his behalf, he could go anywhere with ease, so long as his older sister is around, and, getting on his older sister’s good side, that, is the only way, to maintain that relationship well.

Seeing how the little guy took chance of sucking up to his older sister, when his older sister twirled around, he’d started giving her the applauses, as his sister moved a chair, he’d said, “good job” (“Good job” was the limited speech that he’d known how to use effectively, having started learning to talk recently), let alone, last night, his older sister mumbled a “Brother, smile for me!”, he’d, dropped his toys then, started grinning ear to ear, and as I caught it, I can only describe the situation as, a “follower of his older sister’s orders”.

Plan Two: Being the Follower

After he’d gotten his sister’s heart, the next one to tackle was mom’s.  The moment when the younger Wang was born, he’d understood, “Mom can’t just belong to me”, based off of his observations, mom was always getting pulled to and from, couldn’t keep her attention on him for long.  And so, if she doesn’t come to me, then, I shall, go find her, the naturally optimistic youngest son decided to, follow his mom around.

Every day, I’d seen him, following behind his mom, accompanying her through the house, as she sorted through the chores, even when his mom goes to the bathrooms, he’d waited outside the door, handing her the toilet papers.  The youngest child, who’d done everything, only wanted something quite simple, for his mom to take a moment out of her busyness of the day, to hug, to kiss him, to tell him, “Baby, I love you”, then, he’d, walk away, with glee.

And of course, if he could cry and wail a bit when his mom gets too busy, and managed to get a few pieces of cookies, it would be a physical kind of reward for him.

Plan Three: Becoming the Clown

Father is usually the highest authority in the house, but maybe, it’s how everything can be conquered, the youngest child, with almost NO efforts, could use his cute face, and, managed to get his dad to do what he’d wanted.  Every time when the little guy couldn’t find anybody else, he’d called out to his older sister, she’d ignored him, called out to his mom, his mom’s too busy on something he’d needed to turn toward dad, with the softened tone of voice, with a smile toward his dad, all of a sudden, his dad would melt, and became the emperor in the Tang Dynasty, and no matter how many consoles from around, could deter him from spoiling this youngest son.

But, the youngest Wang also followed his dad’s every single command too, every now and then, when the father was in the mood, and carried him closer, and planted kisses on his cheeks, he’d always put up with it, and, given his dad a most radiant smile—this sort of a complying child, naturally, everyone loved him.

And, on the subjects of dining, bathing, getting his diapers changed, dropping down his toys, usually, his father only needed to say the commands, then, he would, do the action, and, there’s not any of that regular bargaining, bartering.  Although, there’s the adaptations of him, doing what he’d wanted when his father wasn’t looking, the one picking up afterwards was always the mom, but, so long as he got on his dad’s good side, he would live on easily.

After the youngest child had applied these three techniques, he’d gotten everything his way, and, he’d, accidentally, became, the ruler of his household.  As the small guy looked back to how he’d come, he’d gotten it, that all three plans, although looked so very different, were actually, one in the same, turns out, what helped him ruled his house, was nothing more than just love and a genuine heart.

So, this youngest child became really good at reading the adults’ faces, because that, is how he’d learned to live in the world of those older than he, being the youngest, he may not have many “powers”, but this young child was able to, manipulate his parents, his older sister, to such an extent, and hopefully, after this young child realized that he could suck up and weasel his ways out of trouble by playing coy, he doesn’t get into the habits of doing that all the time, because then, it will, become a personality flaw later on in life, but it’s really cute, because this is still a young child’s behaviors…
