From the aftermath of the explosions at the amusement park that injured a lot of people and killed a lot of people too, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
Liu, who was injured at the Ba-Xien Amusement Park two years ago was invited to talk at a forum for the two-year-anniversary of the events, he’d claimed, that after the explosions, there was seventy-percent second to third degree burns on him, and, after calculating his chances of survival by formula, there was only a three-percent chance he would survive, back then, he’d thought, that he was to die soon, but, he’d beaten death, gained forty-four pounds, and started playing his favorite sport again.

Liu had signed up for the marathon event at Mt. Fuji in Japan this November, and hoped that everybody is cheering him on.
Liu is twenty-seven this year, independent, after he’d started working, he’d disliked it as his parents got into his own life, he’d, distanced himself from his family, not only did he not inform his family members that he was going to the event at Ba-Sien Amusement Park, he’d even called his mom said, “I got burned a little bit, I’ll go to the hospital on my own”, then, he’d fallen into a coma, and didn’t wake up until twenty-two days later.
An Accident Got the Family Closer Together
“As I’d opened my eyes, I saw my dad crying, I told myself to be strong, to NOT become anybody’s burdens”. Liu said, that his family never gave up on him from the start, just stayed close to him, their unconditional love had made him feel warm and moved, an accident had, brought him closer to his family.
This February, Liu had finally successfully been, released from the Tri-General Hospitals. He said, that after he had suffered the burns, he’d come to know, how hard breathing, sitting, eating, and getting something off the shelves, these simple movements were, so very hard, that he’d needed to, start learning everything from zero, as he’d stood up, to take his first step again, he’d stood only, for a few short seconds, and fell down, but being able to stand back up again, “I’m very happy, that I can finally, get out of the bed, walk out of the hospital ward.”
Worked Hard to Rehabilitate Himself, Took Two Hours, to Finish a Fourteen-Kilometer Run
Lu worked hard to rehabilitate himself, as he’d made improvements, he’d not only gotten involved in the “Black-Footed Warriors’ Party”, put on his jersey, to shoot the hoops on the basketball courts, he’d also tried skating, and enjoyed the thrills, and this May, he’d entered into the very FIRST marathon after his “rebirth”, he ran the fourteen kilometers in a little over two hours’ time.
And now, he can take care of his living needs, recently, he’d signed on to enter into the Mt. Fuji Complete Marathon event, he’s currently training hard. He’d smiled, “Step-by-step, I will finally, make it, past the finishing lines”.
Collected the Blessings, an Unknown Girl Had Motivated Me to Get Better
This March, Liu prepared a small notebook for himself, planned to let his friends write down their wishes for him, “I will NOT get beaten down by the tragic fact that I was injured in a fire, and start falling down”. The day he’d bought the notebook, he couldn’t open up a bottle, a girl who sat next to him offered him a hand, and he’d told his story to her, and the girl left the message, “the hard roads are the uphill climbs”, and it’d become, the motivation for him to tackle everything that became an obstacle in his life since. This notebook had already collected about ten of his friends’ blessing already.
Toward the scars that’s accompanied him for an entire year, Liu said plainly, he’d gotten, used to them already, and every time he’d felt his scars pulling, he’d tell himself, that it’s like how a caterpillar becomes a cocoon, that one day, he will become a butterfly, breaking out, and obtain his own beautiful life one day in the future.
So, this, is the inspirational tale of how this man faced the trials of his own life, and, although the recovery process wasn’t at all easy, he’d not allowed the pains, the discomforts, to get to him, and it’s because of his stamina, his ability to conquer the difficulties in his own life, he will, be successful in whatever he chooses to do in the futures to come.
