Seeking immortality, because we fear, that we may get forgotten, because we want our selves (or parts of our selves), to carry through time, to prove, that our lives had meaning.

Seeking immortality, those ancient emperors had all done, and yet, they weren’t able to, because at the very end, after thousands of years, nobody remembered them, because that, is how the attention span of humans worked…
Seeking immortality, I don’t want to, get forgotten, I want to, be remembered, for anything, anything at all! But, trying to make my life memorable now seemed, a bit, too little, too late, I’m already, elderly, and there’s just, NOT enough time, I’m a “goner”, any day now!!!
Seeking immortality, why is that? Because you’re afraid of death? Or, is it, something deeper than that? Are you, just now, realizing, that you’d, NOT done anything worth mentioning, that your lives are, meaningless to everybody ELSE but yourselves?
Seeking immortality, instead, just live your lives, best as you can, and if you’re remembered after you’re dead, good, and if you don’t, do you really C-A-R-E??? I mean, c’mon, you’re already D-E-A-D, why do you care, what kind of a name you’d left behind? It’s not like those with the best names, gets that golden TICKET into those, pearly gates, is it??? Of course N-O-T!
