Professor Tien was on his way home, his car made its way out of the tunnel, he sped by the Galaxy Casino of the Golden Topped Building, there was that satisfying smile on his face now. He thought, that Yuan was too emotional, he’d put his heart and soul into setting up the Ping-Pong club, took care of every member’s mind, body, and helped them hone up on the playing skills, they’d won the championship trophy of the houses, but, they’d all let their coursework slide., for the past three semesters, they’d all flunked out of certain subjects. This afternoon, Yuan had, rushed, into his office, his face all scrounged up, he said, “Professor, I can’t come back here next semester, I’d been, expelled, I can’t even make the retake base lines this semester in my total GPA!”
Professor Tien took Yuan’s grade reports over, saw that the failing grades in his three courses were still on there, but, the three courses he’d taken, he’d passed.”
He’d asked Yuan, “how come those four classes you’d failed are still on here?”
Yuan sniffed his nose, told, “Yeah! No matter how hard I’d worked, I couldn’t raise my total GPA to passing!”
This dummy, Professor Tien said, “You fool, do you NOT know, that you can retake the courses you’d failed from before? Didn’t any classmates ever tell you that?”, at which time, Yuan’s ashen face started regaining colors, Professor Tien called up a student who’d made almost a 4.0 average, asked him to teach Yuan how to select the courses that will help raise up his grades, and called the dean, as well as the offices of administrations too, Yuan had a chance to do over next semester again. Professor Tien was one who’d focused on the means, his ways always worked, this time, it’d, saved Yuan, he’d smiled, as he drove, satisfactorily.
Professor Tien is passionate toward a lot of things, especially foods, so, he’d often stayed chubby, his deep eyes now became elegant, full dual-lids now, and, there was intelligence, that shined through his eyes.
As he walked into the house, the living room was dark. He’d sensed that there was, tension in the air at home, normally, as he’d arrived home, his wife had turned on the chandelier. She’s in the kitchen now, with the faucet running, she should be cleaning the foods for supper, but, she’d not called out to him like she usually had, “You’re home!” he knew, that the two women in his house must’ve had a disagreement again.
He’d opened the door, gone into his daughter’s room, and, Cho knew her father had entered, but she’d not moved a bit, not turned her head, just faced her laptop that was on her desk. That sweet face became puffed up, like a pink balloon that was filled up with air. This daughter, whom he’d taught by reason, had never been found, to get so angry as she was right now. He’d asked lightly, “What’s wrong?”

She’d turned to him, spoken loudly, “Mom’s being unreasonable! She’s wrong, and doesn’t admit to it, and scolded me instead!”
“What is the disagreement about?”
“I’d told her these past couple of months, to NOT buy me any more clothes, that I will shop for myself, and you knew, that buying new clothes is very wasteful. This time, she’d bought me more clothes, bought three dresses, and I’d complied, and put them all on for her. All of these, not only were they all too tight, they’re also, too ugly in color, pink, orange and yellow. I’d worked hard, to comply with her, asked her to take them back to the store, to exchange for something darker and larger in size. But, she’d brought home the tighter, and brighter-colored pieces. I told her I won’t wear them, she’d scolded me for not complying, called me an ingrate. On the first day of school, I’d set up the rules with her already, that she shall NOT buy me any more clothes, I’m an adult already. How can she go back on her words! I want her to apologize to me!”
She’d talked on angrily, and he’d nodded in agreement, waited until she’s completely done, he’d let the air settle, then spoke, “You are very reasonable on your views, I’ll communicate with your mom.”

He’d entered into the kitchen, his wife who can eat about anything and not gain an ounce of wait was chopping up the vegetables, the knife hit the cutting board made from hardwood, she had that scent of malice about her. Her delicate skin on her face was so tense.
He’d spoken lightly, with that gentleness in his tone of voice, “are you, okay?”
She’d kept her head lowered, gritted down her teeth, as she’d worked on the carrots, “She’s completely BLIND to my care and concerns for her! Always wore those loose, dark colored clothes, if you don’t dress up pretty in college, when, will you get the chance to! Why doesn’t she just put on what I buy for her as she’d done when she was younger! How can she get loud with me? Can the kids stop respecting their parents, when they’re older?”
He continued with a lower, a gentle voice, “Cho shouldn’t rebut loudly, you’re right. But, Cho told me, that two months ago, you two agreed, that she will do her own shopping. And, she did, try the clothes you bought for her already too, didn’t she?”
His wife remained silent, but the knife became lighter, as it hit the cutting board now.
Professor Tien returned to his daughter’s room, “I’d communicated with your mom, just do something for me first, and I will have your mother come apologize to you.”
“What?”

He handed his daughter a white piece of paper, told her, “Write down everything your mother did to you for the past week.”
Cho said, “Fine!”, she placed the piece of paper on her desk, took out a pen. He returned back to the living room, to watch the news. Fifteen minutes later, he saw Cho ran out of her bedroom, cried, all the way as she ran into the kitchens, held on to her mother tightly, said, “Mom! Mom!”
So, you can tell from this, how WISE this professor is, he was stuck, between two women he loved the most, and, he’d become an effective bridge for his wife and daughter, he kept an objective ear as he listened to both sides, and, he’d calmed his wife down, and, managed, to make his own child see, that her mother did what she thought was best for her, and effectively, he was able, to resolve this conflict between them, such, a wise man!!!
