These, are the desperate times, so naturally, the extreme measures were, taken here, from the Newspapers, translated…
In order to protect women and children, the social workers and the police often worked side-by-side, and sometimes, they’d needed to play a game of “spy” with the family members too, a mom took along her young daughter during the long holiday of the Dragon Boat Festivals to the subprecinct to ask for help, but the young girl seemed to have been abused, the social worker, Hsu asked for emergency placement for her, but fearing that it would get the mother too worked up, she’d worked with female officers, to divert the mother’s attention, then, took the young child away.
The manager of the anti-domestic violence center of Hsinbei, Hsu told, that the very first night of the three-day weekend, a mother took along her eight-year-old daughter to ask for assistance at the local subprecinct, the social worker, Hsu showed up to help out, after she had a chat with the young child, she’d found, that the child had been treated violently by other members of her family, and the mother lacked the ability, to protect her own child, they’d decided on emergency placement of this young girl immediately.
Hsu the social worker feared that the mother would disagree, she’d worked alongside two female officers, had the social worker explain the procedures of her getting a restraining order from her abusive husband, to divert her attention away from her child, then, the female officer led the young girl into a patrol car, and, after the social worker, Hsu helped the woman filed out the paperwork, she’d made an excuse that she’d needed to go to the bathroom, to stealthily, skip out of the police subprecinct by the back door.
But the subprecinct didn’t have a back door, so, Hsu the social worker, hiked up her long skirt, flipped over the wall at the back of the subprecinct, and, met up with the female officer who was waiting out back, successfully, placed the young child. The social worker, Hsu told, that “at the moment, I’d not considered anything, but getting this child to a place of safety.”
Hsu told, that after the mother learned that her child had been taken into protective custody, she was so distraught, she couldn’t accept it, after meetings with the social workers, communicating with her, getting her to understand why this must be done, she’d finally understood, “placing her is for her safety”, then, she’d forced herself to accept the situation, and all the other family members who were involved in abuse this young child were all taken into the police station and had all their statements taken.
So, these, are the extreme times, that call for extreme measures, and the social worker didn’t do anything wrong, for she only thought about the safety of this young girl, that placing her out, of her abusive home front, is the primary goal, and that, was why she’d done what she did, to keep the young child safe.
