A first year middle school student, Lee was suspected by his mother for lying to her about helping to celebrate a classmate’s birthday, but instead, he’d gone to a friend’s house to play video games, two night ago, his mother grilled him, they got into a verbal altercation, Lee got angry and went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife, the mother said she was going to call the police, the son took her cell phone by force, then, ran out, not long thereafter, the teen was found, to have fallen out of the windows of their eleventh floor residence outside, he’d died.
The police investigated, that Lee is a from a single-parent family, the mother and son lived in Zuoying, Kaohsiung together, the father was nowhere. On the 11th, Lee told his mother he was going to a classmate’s birthday party; the next day, Lee’s mother went out, at noon, she’d left a message for her son’s friend, thanking him for inviting her son to his birthday party, but the classmate said, that it wasn’t his birthday, that, was when Lee’s other realized that her son was lying to her.
Two nights ago, Lee came home, his mother busted his lies, grilled him if he’d taken his cell phone and went to his classmate’s house to play online games. The two of them got into a heated argument, the son ran into the kitchen, grabbed a fruit knife, screamed, “we will all die together.”; the mother took out her cell, said she was going to call the cops, and her son took the phone from her, and ran out, she was so angry that she’d locked the door behind him.
After Lee’s mother locked up, she’d called 113, the women and children protections hotline for help, not long thereafter, she’d heard aloud thud from outside, she looked out the window, saw her son, fallen to the ground floor. Lee and the security guard immediately called it in, rushed him to the hospital, but, because there were too much internal damage, he’d died of shock.
This still just shows, how fragile those teens can get, and, perhaps, the cause of this young man’s suicide was more than how he got busted by his mother, that it was also how he felt guilty for lying to her about the purpose of him not coming home, but we will never know, because the only one with the answers is now, dead.
