Lee, an elderly man was stabbed to death by Chou on a hike he went on two days ago, Chou lived close to the hiking trail, was in an unstable state of mind, had records of randomly hacking people up, back then, he was walking his dog, the elderly seemed to have said something about how dirty his dog was, they got into a verbal, then, physical altercation, he’d gone home, and came back with a knife, committed the murder; the police zoomed in on the identification of the perpetrator, last night, arrested him at a local food shop, investigated him based off of the murder charges.

Based off of investigations, the elderly, Lee (age 88) lived with his wife in Xinyi District, two days ago at around five in the morn, Lee hiked up on his own, and, as he was working out in the gazebo of the Tiger Mountain hiking trail, he was hacked to death by the unemployed, eighteen-year-old, Chou.  Chou claimed, that he was walking his dog, the dog started barking at the elderly, the elderly said that his dog was “filthy and it stunk”, they got into a verbal altercation, that it was the elderly who became physical with him first, he’d gone home, grabbed a knife, to confront the elderly, although he felt sorry for what happened to the deceased, but, it was “him who’d started it with me”.

a party sent out to search for the missing elderly, from UDN.com…

After Chou murdered the elderly man, he’d gone home, and told his mother, that he got into a confrontation with someone, and, in the evenings, he’d gone to where his older cousin was staying, a business hotel in Taoyuan to stay, last night he’d returned back to Taipei, and, was having some midnight foods with his older uncle at a food shop, the police went to arrest him, and they’d found a knife in his place, and, confiscated his knapsack from the hotel, and found clothes and a chopping knife, both had blood on them.

Chou and his mother lived in a steel shack close to the hiking trails, he was arrested before, for randomly hacking someone, after the police found the elderly man’s body, they’d made the connections to Chou, and, as they’d gone to find him, his mother said that he wasn’t home, that he’d gone to Taoyuan to find his older cousin to find work opportunities, the police chased the leads and arrested him.

Because Lee the elderly didn’t come home, the family reported him as missing two days ago around noon, the fire department searched for him but didn’t find anything, early at a little past eight in the morning yesterday, the fire department went on a search again, and found the elderly’s body on a bench in a gazebo, he was sitting, without any shirt, wearing shorts, and there were, over twenty places on him with knife cuts.

The family of the elderly said painstakingly, that the elderly is physically fit, other than high blood pressure, he’d not had any ailments, that he’d gone up to hike every morn, that he’d not gotten into any disagreement with anybody else, they couldn’t understand why he was stabbed to death.

After the murder, the police started reviewing the surveillance footage, found that the elderly hiked up from the base on Fu-De Street, and they’d discovered his bicycle at the foot of the hill.  There were the elderly’s clothes hanging in the gazebo, next to his body, was his backpack, and money was still there too.

the suspect, in front of the news media…

Chou had priors of randomly hacking someone, two years ago in June, he’d followed a college student who was returning home late, used a thirty-centimeter wilderness knife, stabbed him on the back, then ran off, four hours later, he was arrested in his own home, the college student was severely injured, but the paramedics and the hospital were able to help save him, Chou had records of mental instability, claimed, that he felt that the other person was about to hurt him.

So, you have here, a mentally, and even, an emotionally unstable man, who’d started, hacking someone down at random, and this was still NOT the first time he’d done it, and he should be locked away, because if he’s let go, who’s to say, that there won’t be, another victim?  And this time, he’d murdered the elderly man who’d not even had anything to do with him, just told him to keep his dog close!
