Putting His Darkness Behind Him

He had, put, his darkness behind him now, and, he tries not, to recall the steps he’d taken, to do so, as it was, extraordinarily, difficult.

Putting his darkness behind him, how was he supposed to do that? As all that surrounded him in the past, and currently, plaguing his present, is nothing, but this, overshadowing darkness.  Putting his darkness behind him, it surely was hell, but, he’d grown very tired, of having all that darkness in his god DAMN life, he’d not, seen the light, since, he couldn’t even, recall when now, and, he’d decided, to evict this darkness inside of him.

Putting his darkness behind him, it wasn’t at all easy, for, darkness, was ALL that he’d ever had, all that surrounded him growing up, and, bidding it that final farewell, it’s just, NOT right, because, how can you possibly say goodbye, to something that’s so, vital to your youthful, childhood years?

Putting his darkness behind him, he had, and now, as he looked back, he can now, recall, every single thing that’s happened to him growing up, and, he thought, that he’d, hated the people who were supposed to love him, but instead had, raped him, but he didn’t, instead, he just felt, that wave of, peace, flowing, over him, for he is now, finally, DONE, with that part of his own life.

Putting his darkness behind him, how can he? He’d, lived off of its energies for so long, and now, as all around him flashed their glares of disproval toward how he and his darkness had, interacted, he’d had, a difficult time, figuring things out, but, he’d, finally had!
