The thoughtfulness of the school principal, translated…

During the summer and winter vacations days, because the tribes are located far off from the public libraries, the parents are too busy, working in the fields, they couldn’t take their young to the libraries to read. In order to make sure that the students keep up their habits in reading, the school’s library is still open in the mornings, to encourage the students to keep on reading, even when they didn’t have to.

The principal from Lorna Elementary School, Peter stressed, that education is the only way to turn the tribe around, and reading is the very first step of education. After a few year of implementing the reading programs, the students showed great progresses and improvements on their assignments, as well as their characters too, he’d hoped, that the students will keep on reading, to help them open up the doors to the world, so they can have the endless possibilities at their disposal.

So, this, is the principal’s views on how education can only work, with reading, which is why he’d worked so very hard, to make sure that even during the vacation time, the school library is still open, so the kids can have access to the books to read at all times, and, he is right on how the first step to getting more educated is reading more.
