The model from Eelin Modeling Agency, Ku, two days ago, had drowned in a shoot underwater; the police investigated, that Ku wanted to have her photograph as a beautiful mermaid, swimming undersea, she was accompanied by three diving instructors, she wore a mermaid suit, and took along, bottles of oxygen down into the oceans, and, when they were five meters deep, she’d taken off her oxygen gasket, and started, choking on the water and died.
Si-Yu Ku was married at a young age, to the lawmaker, Chiu’s younger cousin, they’d divorced, they had a four-year-old young daughter. The legislator, Chiu sighed, that after the accident, her cousin had gone through her younger brother, to ask for help, hoped, that the hospital, can save his ex-wife’s life, but, it didn’t happen, and she’d still died.

The Hengchun fire department subunit said, that two afternoons ago, at around three, they’d gotten a call, reporting that someone was drowning by the cliff side, as they’d arrived, someone was performing CPR for Ku (age 25), and after they’d rushed her to the hospitals, she’d still died. The hospital spoke, that before she was admitted, there was, no signs of life, and the cause of her death was heart and lung failure.
The D.A., along with the coroner’s offices, confirmed that Ku had drowned to death, she had no history of asthma, but caught a small cold just a few days back, as for whether or not the diving service providers are responsible for negligence, that is still pending investigation.
Ku’s family was overwhelmed with sorrows and loss, a friend of Ku’s told that the photo shoot from two days ago, was of her own arrangements, and that the modeling agency didn’t tell her to go, and Eelin also stated, that Ku wasn’t there for the shoot on the company’s behalf, that they would help the family, with her final affairs.
Based off of investigations, Ku had many years prior as a diver, two afternoons ago, she’d gone to sea, to get her photographs taken as a mermaid, she was accompanied by two friends, three diving coaches, as Ku got fitted in her mermaid suit, she’d gotten into the water, with the air supplies, when they were shooting, she’d taken off her oxygen tank, and started, taking in the water and suffocating. The diving coach saw that something wasn’t right, lifted her out of the ocean and, rode her back to shore on a water motorcycle, and started CPR on her.
The witness said, that as they took the dive, they saw that Ku didn’t have any underwater breathing apparatus, and heard Ku’s friend told, “She’d taken off her oxygen tank, to get her pictures as a mermaid, and maybe, it was her asthma attack, that’s caused her to choke on the waters.”
The friends told, that Ku is a good swimmer, and loved the oceans, had once gone to Kenting with her diving friends to clean up the beaches. She’d become a part of the modeling agency when she was just in high school, she was on the rise, but she’d wanted to focus on her schooling, and at the start of this year, she’d, resigned with Eelin Modeling Agency, she is tall and slender, about 5’8, very fresh looking.
And so, this woman shouldn’t have taken off her SCUBA gear, but she had, and that, was what caused her to die, and, it is, an accident that can happen to anybody who’s going for a dive.
