This would be, the “aftermath” of the death sentence being implemented after Jie Cheng’s random MRT stabbing, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
In these recent years, there were three young children who were murdered at random, and, it’d made people wonder, WHAT, exactly is wrong with Taiwan?

The random murderer, Jie Cheng finally was executed, and, just was finally, paid, back to the family of the four victims he’d murdered, and this was done, just, ten days prior to the newly elected president of Taiwan is to be sworn into office, which showed how President Ma and Lo, the head of the justice department had the zest to pushing through.
Recalling back to thirty years ago, when Lee took a gun, and robbed a bank, although he’d not murdered anyone, he was, caught relatively quickly, and, the courts ruled him guilty, and, he was sentenced to die by getting shot very shortly thereafter.
And, comparing to the past, back then, the orders of the society was, way better than it is now. And, the U.S., as well as Japan, along with other major world powers still hadn’t done away with death penalty yet. And the death penalty became like the punish sword toward evil, used, to punish those whose actions were cruel toward others, it’d become, the last gate of safety to keep the citizens secure; giving those murderers who deserved to die their rightly-deserved punishments, preventing us from being the next victim of these random murders.
Singapore, being the world’s highest execution rate nations, and, there is still, NO free lunch, the harsh punishments enforced by the Singaporean government gave way to a long-term high income of the people, as well as a safe and secure society which its citizens can reside in. And, Taiwan had yet to reach its utopian government standards, and, so, the laws are set up very strict, and the punishments would fit the crimes; and, although the justice for the serial murderers came late, but we were still, able to, bear witness to the day that justice was, served.

So, if by executing those who’d committed murders can soothe over the loss of the family members who were murdered, then, yeah, death sentence would have a place, but, the families that’s lost their parents, children, relatives, friends, or other loved ones are still the ones left, carrying on from day to day, and, execution or no execution, it still won’t give the victims’ families any closure, it just seemed justified, based off of the perceptions of the world.
