A Child Was Abused to Death, Her Mother and Her Mother’s Boyfriend in Custody

A one-and-a-half year-old young girl in Hualien was rushed to the ER under critical condition, and had died, the investigative officers suspected that abuse was involved in the young child’s death, they’d called on the young girl’s birthmother, Lo and her boyfriend, Su; the two of them originally told the police, that the child tripped and fell, but after the police was able to, break Lo, the two of them started accusing one another of abusing the young girl. The District Attorney’s office’s investigations found, that the toddler had been burned by a hairdryer, gotten picked up, and thrown against the walls, there were bruises and scars all over her body, they’d asked the judge to keep the mother and boyfriend in custody, the judge allowed.

The police investigated and found, that Su (age 22) and Lo (age 29) were both previously married from before, Su has three daughters, all in the custody of his ex-wife, Lo had two daughters, in her own mother’s care; the two of them cohabited in Taoyuan together. In March of this year, Lo’s mother went to find work away from home, and could only look after her eldest daughter, and at the end of March, Lo had, moved in to Su’s home in Hualien with her younger child, neither one of them has a job, and they were, living off of the supports of Su’s family members.

On the first of May, the District Attorneys went to conduct an autopsy of the young girl, they’d found, that there were, wounds, all over the young child’s body on her limbs, her chest, her head, her face, as well as her legs and feet too. The police started asking questions, both Su and Lo claimed, that she’d bumped into stuff and tripped and fallen on her own, and the police questioned them, that how can a one-year-old manage to trip so hard, that she’d become, covered with bruises and wounds.

Later on, the police officers were able to, crack Lo, and that, was when she’d told them, that Su would often, hit her daughter with his hands; Su admitted to getting physically violent with the young girl, but told the police, that he saw Lo do it first, that, was why he’d followed her lead.

Now that a child’s died from abuse, the caretakers are, pointing fingers, because NEITHER one of them wanted to be punished for what happened to this young girl, and, both the mother and the boyfriend are responsible, for causing this young child to die.
