There was, no mention, of her other son, it’s, as if, he’d never even, existed! No mention of her other son, as he was, the prodigal son, who’d, never made his return.
There was, no mention of her other son, and we all knew, that she had, two sons, so, what happened, to the other son? We’d often wondered, but, none of us, ever gotten enough courage, to ask her about him.
No mention of her other son, she’d, successfully (or so she believed!!!), put him out of her mind, because he’d died, because of her carelessness, and, not a day goes by, that she’s not, tortured by the thoughts of if only, she’d done things differently, then, there would be, a different outcome, and he’d been, in his twenties right now…
No mention of her other son, her family learned, that they shouldn’t, talk about him in front of her, a mother who still grieves, endlessly, for his death, so, they’d all, put her other son out of their minds, but, her other son had, stayed inside everybody’s hearts.
