Life, the Obstacle Course

The Importance of Stories in the Childhood Years

Stories are an important part of the childhood years, because the stories we were told when we were younger, IF we were read to, will affect and shape our personalities as adults, in one way or another…

The stories from the childhood years are especially important, because we’re learning subconsciously, the lessons inside ALL of those age-old fairytales without ourselves ever realizing it. Stories are vital, to a child’s earlier years, because that, is how we form our earliest views of how the world functions.

Stories, that we were told, that we believed, to be true, can and will affect us our whole lives, we will, carry them with us, unknowingly, and pass these stories that were told to us, to our own next generations, kinda like passing a sort of a legacy to your own young.

And in this sense, stories become, a treasure of sorts, an heirloom, something that someone can have, of one’s own heritage, and that, is why it is, important, to read to your young, to tell them stories, as they were still, growing up, because if you tell your children stories, then, surely enough, your children will also, pass this “habit” of stories, on down, to their own young too.
