Because there was, NO proof that you’d gotten, sold and not gotten paid, that, is why the case didn’t stand up in court, from the Newspapers, translated…

A shop with women as company in Keelung that served the foods, the female shop owner and three of the waitresses were accused of trying to scam a customer, Chiu, because he was mentally incapable, falsified his spending at the shop, accompanied him to the ATM to make withdrawal to pay for his meals, was suspected of fraud. The Keelung District Attorney’s Offices awhile ago, closed the case, because Chiu didn’t have any, solid evidence, plus, both parties had reached a settlement, the woman wasn’t indicted.

The police investigated, that in the midnight hours on July 23rd of last year, Chiu arrived at a small food shop on Long-An Street, the owner, Hsu (age 45), the employees, Lin (age 53), Chang (age 37), and Hsu (age 55), had taken advantage of how Chiu had a mental condition, Chiu had only spent $4,000N.T., but they’d told him that he had spent $80,000N.T., and accompanied him to make a withdraw from an ATM to pay, on that same afternoon, when Chiu came to the shop, Hsu and her group lied about how they were all, sold to someone else to sit and chat with the customers, and that he’d needed to pay $100,000N.T. in cash for them to sit with him again.

Chiu gave the women his ATM card from the post office, and had Li and Chang go to the ATM of the post office to withdraw $100,000N.T. to pay for the charges. The police sent all four individuals based on charges of fraud and scam, to the D.A.’s office.

When Hsu and the three other individuals were taken into custody, they’d denied having committed fraud. Lin said, that Chiu told her, that he’d not have enough money on him, that he’d needed to make a withdrawal, that, was why she’d tagged along.

Chang claimed that Chiu said he was going to pay for the activities in the shop in its entirety, that, was why he’d handed over his ATM card. Hsu claimed that Chiu had multiple rounds of drinking, and paid the tab, along with the tips too, she’d gone with Chiu so he could make the withdraws, but had no idea how much he’d taken from the ATM.

Chiu said, that he’d not recalled having spent the money at the store, and there was no mentioning of how he’d given the money to the four individuals, and the reasons, plus both parties had already, settled this disagreement, and so, the indictments were, dropped.

And so, perhaps, the ladies HAD the intentions of scamming this dude who’s almost out cold from drinking, and, because he was, too drunk, there was no way, that the cops can confirm his stories, and that, was why the charges were dropped, and that’s just ANOTHER loophole that criminals are able to find, to get themselves out from being punished by the law.
