Life, the Obstacle Course

His Shot at Redemption…

He’d kept, this, deep, dark secret inside of his conscience, for so many years now, and, each and every night, it’d come back, to gnaw on him…

And, his shot at redemption came, when he was asked, to testify in court, on behalf of the victims. He was all pumped up, but, the day before, he’d started, battling with himself, on whether or not, eh should, go to court tomorrow.

not my photograph…

It was, his shot at redemption, and yet, he’d just, wasted it away, like turning on the faucet, and letting all the water run dry from it. His shot at redemption, he’d, searched for many, many, many years on end, and still wasn’t able to, find it. His shot at redemption, it’d come, and gone, in no more than a split-second…

He was, confronted, with a split-second moment, where he had to decide, which way to turn his own life towards, and, after that split-second, all was already, done, and gone.

not my picture…

His shot at redemption, did he ever, get that? I mean, did he ever, get it, after so many years, of carrying the load, living, with the guilt. He was, NEVER, EVER, E-V-E-R, going to, find redemption, in his life, for what he’d done, to someone he was, supposed to, cherish, and love………
