Using a Bulletin Board to Show My Daughter I Love Her

This, is how the family stay connected, because life gets too busy, translated…

Because of work, I had to head out early in the mornings, looking at my daughter’s face, asleep, I’d felt that desire, to want to, crawl back into bed with her, but, seeing how the minute-hand kept pressuring me on, there was nothing I can do, but head out.

After my kindergarten-age daughter wakes up, she was often in the state of being of not seeing her mom around, my husband told me, that my daughter asked, in a saddened tone of voice, “Where did mommy go? I really miss her.”

not my photograph…

Being a working woman, I’d, swayed between the home and work, “busyness” became the way of life for me, and, supporting me, helping me cope, with the various identities that I have, is my child, she’d become, the vitamin for my soul. Looking at her disappointed face, I felt awful too, and I can only find a way, that can help me show her that I love her so: before I headed out, I’d written what I wanted to say to her, in phonetic spelling, and drew the pictures, at least, that way, when she wakes up, she could see how much mom cares for her, to let her know, that mommy cares about her all the time. After several “test runs”, my daughter went from being disappointed, to becoming expectant to see what I wrote to her on the board, and from time to time, she’d felt like it, and drew a picture or two to communicate her love back to me.

The words on our board carried the energy of love, that, was a platform of communication for me, the mother, and my child to share, through this simple platform, it’d allowed my daughter know, that I’m always, around her, that she’s not left alone.

not my photograph still…

So, this, would be the hardships of a working mom, she needed to work, and so, she couldn’t spend as much time as she’d wanted to with the young daughter, but, she’d figured out a way, to show and let her child know, that she loves her so, by using that bulletin board.
