Life, the Obstacle Course

Another Fall…

She’d tripped, and, had yet, ANOTHER fall, and, it’d happened, several times already, since she was, diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. She’d lost her balance it seems, and it’s probably due to her age, as she’s already, at AGE NINETY, and you CANNOT, expect an elderly, at the AGE of ninety, to walk UPRIGHT, and as quickly as s/he had, in her/his fifties, sixties, or seventies, can you?

and the recovery won’t be as quickly either!!!

Another fall, another hospital stay, and yet, every time ever since (don’t ask when!!!), only made her more and more withdraw from the world, and, getting her home, is like, RE-introducing her to her normal life routines. Another fall, because she’s now, very elderly, and, she’d just, lost her balance, especially in the early morning hours, when she got up out of bed, to go to the bathroom on her own…

not my photo still…

Another fall, and, another, another, AND few more, and, she will become, bruised, broken in too many places that ANY of us can count, and chances will be, that she won’t recover from this one more fall, as well as she’d done, because time is NO longer on her side, and, she will become, wheelchair prone, and, it’s more than likely, that she’s going to end up like those elderly that you see, with the foreign hired help, at those local parks, just sitting in their wheelchairs, with their heads, hung down low, and not having conversations like she’d done with us, before she’d had, another, and another, and another, and FEW more EXTRA falls!!!
