Because the adult caretakers are negligent, that, is what caused the death, of this YOUNG child here, from the Newspapers, translated…
A nanny in Banciao, Chu, was taking care of a six-months old male infant yesterday, she was suspected of not being attentive enough of how the quilt was hovered over the infant’s mouth and nose, and when she’d found the infant, he’d stopped breathing, and had no heartrate, and she’d not notified the fire departments to get help, the police believed, that she was negligent and missed out on the time to save the infant’s life, they’d taken her in based off of negligence charges.
The police said, that the infant’s mother, Cheng (age 34) before she’d left for work, she’d handed her son over to the nanny, Chu, with a valid nanny license to care. Yesterday morning, after the nanny fed the infant, and he was burped, she’d placed the infant on his back to sleep in the crib.
Chu claimed, that at ten in the morn, she saw that the quilt was covering the infant’s head, she’d suspected, that it was because of the child’s movement in his sleep, she’d immediately lifted the quilt up, but he’d stopped breathing already, she’d performed CPR, there was, no response, she’d immediately call Cheng, the mother to her place, and continued performing CPR on the infant.
Cheng arrived at around eleven in the morning, she’d carried her son to a nearby clinic to get help, as the nursing staff took over, they saw that the infant boy’s pupils were dilated, limp in his limbs, after they’d attempted to resuscitate him, he showed no response, and suspected that his death may have been caused by the quilt, or the milk that got stuck in his windpipe.
The police, and the fire department all stated, that the nanny, Chu’s not calling the ambulances when she’d found the child, and allowing the professionals to take over resuscitating the infant, allowing professional medical staff to help, had missed the critical time to save the young boy’s life; Chu said, that because it was only her with the infant boy, she was too busy, trying to resuscitate him, that, was why she’d not reported it to the fire department.
And so, another young life, taken, because of an adult’s NOT paying close enough attention, and, this, is just one of many, many, many cases of tragic, but quite preventable deaths of young children, and there’s nothing we can do here, but to keep this mental note, to NEVER leave the young children alone, after all, they may need our assistance and if we’re not around them or close by, how, can we be there in time, to save their lives???
