The Platoon Leader Abused His Subordinate Using Physical Violence, Behaviors Such as Ramming into Him, Strangling, and Slapping Him Across the Face

Because you are higher ranked than he was, so that gives you the right, to BULLY him, was that it??? From the Front Page Sections, translated…

The lieutenant platoon leader of the Marines in Guandu District, Sun last month, as he was on duty, he’d felt displeased that the major, Chen had, corrected him, he’d rammed toward Chen with the right side of his body, then, choked him with his right arm, slapped him across the face. The Hsinbei military police court marshalled Sun, and the Shihlin District Court believed, that Sun had acted violently toward his superior, gave him a jail sentence of a year and two months, he is on probation for three years, and, he’d needed to pay the treasury $40,000N.T.s too.

The judge believed, that discipline is very important for the army, otherwise, there’s no chain of command, and that the army wouldn’t be able to maintain its combat ability, which makes the existence of the army obsolete; the officer on duty, Sun, because he was corrected, he’d become physically abusive toward his superior, it’s no longer a matter of whether or not Chen was injured, his injuries were major or not, or that he’d not wanted to pursue him, it’s related to the maintenance of discipline in the army, that this should not be overlooked with such ease. And the lieutenant is now, transferred to another department of operation in Keelung now.

The twenty-eight year-old Sun originally served as the lieutenant platoon leader of the third base in Danshui, last year in the early hours of August 14th, Chen the commander came to ask him, who was on duty a question, which he couldn’t answer, he’d believed, that Chen was picking a fight with him intentionally, he’d choked the platoon leader by the neck, and punched the left side of his cheeks several times. Chen suffered contusions on his left cheeks, and abrasions on his lower lip and bruises too.

The national guards stepped into the investigation of the abuse. And, although Sun had used violence, but it was during the “time of peace”, and so, the criminal charges were up to the law to decide. Besides, on the day of the incident, Sun and Chen resolved their differences, and Chen didn’t press charges either.

And so, you have here, men, bullying one another in the army, and because the man thought that the subordinate was disrespectful toward him, that, was why he took it personally, when the problem is still in the platoon leader, and, this loser still got away, without punishment, because the other man decided to forgive.
