Youth had, given us all, many, many, M-A-N-Y, illusions, making us believe, that we’re, undefeated, how we can easily bounce right back from the falls, without preparing us, for how to get back up again after getting beaten.
not my photograph…
The illusions that youth gave us, we’re still, living them, remember those dreams we’d dreamed up long, long, long ago? How many of them did we actually, LIVE, or try to live, huh??? And, what happened, to the rest of ‘em? They didn’t just, vanish, into thin air, did they? Nope! So, where, did they go? We must’ve, just, dropped them all off, before we grew up then???
The illusions that youth gave us, we’re still, kinda, sorta, fazed, by it all, because, even as we approached midlife, we’re still, believers, that one day, these illusions that youth gave to us (like those dreams of becoming whatever was great???), will one day, be all our own, and by then, nobody shall and WILL be able to, take them (the dreams???) from us, NO matter how hard they’d tried to!
The illusions that youth gave us, do you still remember them all??? Of course N-O-T, as we’d both become grown-ups, and, in the ADULT world, the childish fantasies and dreams, well, there’s just, NO place for them, as we’d worked hard, juggling the demands of adulthood………
