There had been several instances of random murders in Taipei, the mayor, Wen-Je Ke hoped that the people in charge of each and every borough can set up more social functions, to help pull those who are estranged by the community outside, and understand their constituents more, but, the local people in charge of the boroughs disagreed, said, that because those people are isolated, that, is why they are less than likely to participate in the functions. Ke stated, that people wouldn’t detach from the societies all of a sudden, that if we can increase the individuals’ socialization with the outside world, then, the damages would be less severe.
Mayor Ke said, that the safety and security of the citizens needed the local communities working hard, encouraged the people in charge of the boroughs to have multiple social functions, to pull those who were isolated by the society outward to socialize more, to show them how to live in the normal social structures, that they will be better adapted.
He said that if someone weird is in the community, and nobody reported on them, and relied solely on the city governments, keeping tabs, it would cause worries for the locale too; the men in charge of the boroughs are on the front lines, they’re like the external neural cells of the city government, that they could get to know their constituencies better through interacting with them, that the results would be a whole lot better than the system that’s set up to report the cases.
And so, this, is the mayor’s beliefs, but, apparently, the local people who are in charge of the boroughs beg to differ, and, maybe, the mayor’s beliefs were a bit too naïve, but, you still have to give it to him, to TRY to make this world a better place, right??? After all, it’s the THOUGHT that counts, right???
