There’s a trend here, a pattern, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
A twenty-year-old young woman, had knife wounds, covering over her wrist, turns out, that since she was in her middle school years, she’d started slashing her wrist with a craft’s knife time and time again. The N.T.U.’s nursing department assistance professor, the national suicide prevention center’s assistant CEO Wu said, that the adolescent was singled out by her peers, felt inferior to the rest, and so, she’d used self-mutilation to alleviate her stress, to have an outlet for her emotions, until she was twenty, then, she was referred by her church to the hospitals.

Suicide is the top two cause of death for young people ages fifteen to twenty-four, from 2005 to 2014, there’s a decline in the rate of suicide in teens. But the fact, that teens are self-mutilating, attempting suicide, had become a huge issue for world-wide, last year, there were a total of 4,389 reported incidences of teenage attempted suicide, an increase of 550 incidence compared to two years ago.
The psychiatrist, Yang said, that when the adolescents hurt themselves in non-lethal ways, it’s actually, their calls for help, and that the adults needed to step in immediately. The National Suicide Prevention Center’s manager, Lee stated, that there were more cases of attempted suicides reported by females, but the rate of death from suicide is higher by twice in males.
Yang believed, that females would often disclose what they’re experiencing to others but boys were taught to not show any sign of weakness, and so, they’d kept everything bottled up, and used smoking, drinking, racing, along with other methods to de-stress, and that when all of it accumulated to beyond the guys’ ability to handle, then, they would hurt themselves, using lethal manners.

Lee suggested that we should help motivate the teens to ask for help, train them how to effectively handle their stress, and help them increase their cognitions and flexibility of thoughts, and toward the youths in the high-risks category, we’d needed to use risk assessment and use the programs of early intervention. And use the “Sandwich communication method”, first affirm their beliefs and feelings, then, remind them, and lastly, give them encouragements. The only way to prevent teen suicide is if the families, the schools, and the society all working together, in the daily life, show more cares and concerns toward them, hearing them out, that, is the only way to reduce the suicide rates in teens.
Yeah, everything still works in THEORY here, and which teenage person would go home, and tell her/his mother or father about her/his day at school??? Uh, that’s still NONE, because as teens, we’re at the awkward stage in our lives, no longer children, and not yet adults, and with our hormones raging, there’s NO telling what we might do, and all you stupid adults can do, is just stay right there, next to your children, let them know that you’ll always be there, to give them the emotional support that they need, and hopefully, if you’re able to do that well, then it will, help reduce the rates of suicide in teens.
