The verdict of the Ding-Hsin and Weichuan mixed oil case finally came yesterday, the former C.E.O. of Weichaun, Wei was accused of mixing the low-quality oil from Datong, as the base mixture of the oils, and sold the mixture oils at a lower price, the Collectivist Courts found him guilty on two counts of fraud, gave him four years, at the same time, they’d fined Weichuan the company fifteen million five hundred thousand dollars N.T.
The case of Ding-Hsin bad oils, last year in Changhwa District Court, Wei was found not guilty, it’d shocked the entire nation; yesterday was the very first time that Wei had been found guilty, the twelve defendants of the case, other than the C.E.O. of Weichuan Foods, Chang was not guilty, all the other members were found guilty for fraud, and forging documents, and given anywhere from five months to three years ten months’ sentence in jail.
Wei did not show up in court to hear the verdict read, through his text, and told his lawyer to thank the justice systems, that there are, “Some misunderstandings of the truths”. And on his text, he’d also mentioned that he will be more humble, introspect more, that he and his company will keep on working hard, but still stressed, “We’d not used the bad oils, we have a clear conscience”.
And so that, is how someone who’d done something AWFUL, poisoning the users of the oils can get off easy, and, it’s still NOT justice, but hey, he’d had a ton of fall guys who are taking the FALL for what he’d done, so justice is still, a LONG ways away, from being “served” here.
