The Younger Sister Accused Her Older Brother for Throwing Her Cat to the First Floor, the Older Brother Was Taken in Because of Laws Against Animal Cruelty

The thirty-four year-old Chen, was suspected of having too much stress in work, became emotionally unstable, on the seventeenth, with his wife and children, as well as his own parents present, he’d thrown his younger sister’s cat out of the third-floor lanai, causing the cat to become paralyzed. The younger sister got angered and sued him for damages and cruelty to animals, Chen was accompanied by his own mother as he’d gone to the police for an interrogation, he’d denied having done what his younger sister accused him of, and stated, “is this really a police matter?”, after the police interrogated him, they’d sent him to the courts for processing.

The police investigated and found, that Chen works as an accountant in Sanchong, awhile ago, she’d moved out of her parents’ house, and left her twelve-year-old mixed cat, “Mimi” at home, and would head home every evening to take care of her. At six o’clock in the evening on the 17^th of this month, Chen received a call from her mother, stated that her cat had been thrown from their third floor home’s lanai to the pavement by her older brother, she’d begged her mother to quickly, take her cat to the nearby animal hospital.

As Chen rushed to the hospital, she’d found, that “Mimi” suffered a fractured spine, and she’d spent $4,800N.T. to save her life, but, “Mimi” had become paralyzed in her hind legs, and couldn’t recover at all.

Chen told the police in distraught, that she’d not interacted with her older brother at all regularly, that their relationship is estranged, but her mother always took her older brother’s side, and her brother had become spoiled into a “mama’s boy”, that, was what had caused him to become so emotional; the two of them didn’t have an altercation, she couldn’t understand, why her cat was, tossed out of the window, to the point that she’d become paralyzed, that, was why she’d sued her older brother.

The police said, that Chen, who was suspected of animal abuse lived with his wife and children in Taoyuan, worked as a construction worker, and would head home to visit his parent with his wife and children, and suspected that it was his pressures from work that’s caused him to become so emotionally unstable, but, when they’d interrogated him, he’d given them “I don’t know”, “I’m not really clear on what’d happened” as his replies, the case is given to the District Attorney’s Office to investigate now.
