Irresponsible ownership here, just because the animal is sick, that still doesn’t give you the right to toss it away like TRASH!!! From the Newspapers, translated…

abandoned, tossed away, like TRASH!!!

To kick start an “Animal-Friendly City”, the Animal Protection Agency this year in March, started looking into the reclaiming of the lost pets with the animals registered with the owners, and found, that there were those owners who’d gotten many notices that their pets are found in certain shelters, but hadn’t shown up to claim them yet, and, the Animal Protection Agency fined the owners $50,000N.T.

The Animal Protection Agency said, that last year on July 17th, they’d gotten a call from the local residents, that they’d found an elderly Basset hound with skin and eye conditions, after the Animal Protection Agency found the owner, they’d placed the Basset hound, then, had called up to notify the owner of the dog being found, but the owner never came forth, and so, the workers followed rule number fourteen, and put the basset hound up for adoption, and the dog was adopted by a man named Hsu last September already.

The Animal Protection Agency said, that this dog was in the center for fifty-five days, and the city government had spent at least $10,000N.T. on the dog’s care, and that’s not yet adding in the medical treatments, but the original owner still had yet to come forth to show cares and concerns of her/his own elderly pet, and so, the person is fined $50,000N.T., and banned from adopting animals.

doesn’t this face make you feel anything at all???

The Animal Protection Agency stated, that the abandoned animals are mostly cats and dogs, and the most often situation is that the animals were wandering about, and was picked up or reported to the rescuers, and then, placed in the animal shelters; and, there were cases where the owners sent the pets into the groomers, but never came back for them.

And so, because the dog you own is old, and became immobilized, or overcome with so other illnesses (i.e. cancer, arthritis, etc., etc., etc.) that required long-term treatment, and you just felt, that you’d not want to spend the money on that elderly pet, so you’d tossed it away? That, would be really responsible, and, there are still, so many animals in the shelters, waiting for owners to come and claim them again, and it’s all because of human irresponsibility.
