That evening, I’d dragged my fatigued body, as well as my stench from sweating so hard, was about to hop on my motorcycle and head home. The night was dark, the moon not showing her face, the thunder roared, all I could hear, as I rode, was the screams of the wind, I’d followed the lamplights on the roads, following where they’re leading me. All of a sudden, the sound of wind flashing past, the world went dark, the power’s out!

There were, not very many lampposts in the countryside, but at least, there are enough, to light the way, so the drivers can drive along safely. And now, there’s only that headlight from my motorcycle, accompanying me, and, my mind wandered, and started thinking of a million scenes from the horror movies, and as my brain ran faster and faster, I’d felt, more and more scared, and, I’d, sped up, without any consciousness in the darkness, hoping, that I will, see the light soon.
Every evening as the night draws in, the lamplights would, start shining bright like clockwork. Without the power outage, I wouldn’t know that they’d accompanied me, on my ride home each and every night; without the power outage, I would’ve never known, how warm the light actually was……

And, the sound came, the power’s back! And, the entire road became, illuminated once more!
I’d stared at the lampposts silently, and, gave thanks, to this majestic invention, which lit up the way ahead of me.
And, until you’re without something that you’re so used to, you’d NOT known its importance in your life, you’d NOT learned to appreciate its place in your life, and, almost everything in life is exactly like that, and, until it’s gone, and you’re without it, you won’t know how precious it is to you, but, sometimes, it may be too late, because not everything you’d lost can be turned back on, like that light after a power outage…
