Although I don’t have children, but recently, something caught my attention: a lawmaker took along her under-three-years-of-age child into the congress, it’d sparked a lot of discussions.
Toward the children in their growth period, it’s very important, to establish that intimacy, that sense of security, that trust, with the other. But now, the workforces, and the makeup of the society had, separated the mothers from their children, it’s too, unnatural, and naturally, this intimacy within the families, became weakened and crumbled down.
It’d reminded me of an attorney-at-law’s office, not only were there children there, they were also, allowed to run around, that, was the environmental pro bono attorney, Rubin Wen’s “Bo-Chong Attorneys at Law”, since 2005, they’d advocated the system of “taking your kids to work”. Back then, there were less than fifty employees there, and, the company set up nurseries, breastfeeding rooms, and there were, nannies and caretakers who are there, to play, to draw with the children, as they’d waited for the parents to get off work.
Imagine, that the offices of attorneys, and the legislature, as well as other corporations are serious, but, there’s this different atmosphere inside this attorney-at-law’s office. Because the kids are also at the workplace, the parents can drop by anytime they wish to care for them, to visit, it’d taken away the parents’ worries; in the forefront of not having it affect the work, the kids would wait for the lunch hours, or after work, to socialize in the office too. And, although it would be, unavoided, for arguments in the workplaces, but, the adults considered that there are kids around, “supervising” how they resolved their issues, the firm’s workers rarely got into arguments, and there’s this sense of serenity that flowed through the offices.
But, someone called out, the lawmakers are making the same amount of money as the heads of government offices, even if you encouraged them to bring their children to work, the cost shouldn’t all go to the taxpayers. Certainly, at Bo-Chong, the fees for the nannies are paid for by the employees themselves, and, there were, the workers who made less money, after discussing it with the company, they’d gotten the compensations they’d needed, and, it’s not unique, to those who are able to pay for it, the company looked after EVERY employee’s needs. The founder, Rubin Wen said it, although the firm took on the extra costs for the nurseries, but the cost of the company is not calculated by the spaces of rent per square feet, but on how happy the employees are, and how well they’re working, without worrying about their kids not being looked well after.

Although the Women’s Day just passed, and the children’s day about to approach in April, but this, is NOT a plan that helps just the women, it’s putting “family-friendly” into action. The children are NOT the assets of the families, instead, they’re the future of all of us. Toward the crises brought on by the decline in birthrate, it would be most practical to provide and structure a friendly family environment. If a small corporation can do it so well, then, the larger, government-operated must take note, and push this method toward more of the privately owned enterprises. So, let’s encourage more people, to take their young to work.
Yeah, taking your kids to work would only work, if there’s that well-set-up system like the company that the article mentions, because the workplace is supposed to be professional, and, nobody wants to work, as babies are crying like crazy, kids, chasing each other, hitting, running around, wreaking havoc, but, this attorney-at-law’s office is doing well on this aspect all right!
