Used the Money from Her Scholarship to Help Out with the Household Finances, She Became an Angel to Her Grandmother

The Bee-Tou Elementary School’s fourth grader, Wang lived with her grandmother, her grandfather and older brother, they lived off of the low-income household assistance by the government, and although their life is hard, she’d not gotten beaten by fate at all, still worked really hard in school, earned the scholarship money from her school to bring home to her family. Awhile ago, she’d entered into the competition hosted by the temple, she was selected from a group of 2,500 kids, became one of forty-three winners, she’d received $5,000N.T. in awards money, she’d said, “I will take this home, to give to grandma, so she won’t have to work too hard.”

When Wei-Hang Wang was just two months old, her parents got divorced, her father went to Keelung to work, but had lost his job for a very long time to date, the family relied on the low-income assistance of $5,390 N.T. from the government a month, as well as the grandmother working odds and ends, the grandmother managed to raise her and her older brother; Wang was only in the fourth grade, and she’d, accumulated a thick stack of award certificates, since the first grade, she’d started receiving $2,000N.T. per school year for outstanding scholastic performances, and she’d turned the money to her grandmother.

Once her grandmother had, fallen asleep on the couch, and Wang took the quilt and put it over her grandmother without being told to, her grandmother told her thanks, she’d written on her journals, “Grandma raised me, took care of me, I’d never told her a thank you, I’d just put the covers over her once, she’d told me thank you, when I’m older, I will, take good care of grandma.”

She’d not allowed her grandmother to work too hard, and would fight over the chores with her older brother, making her grandmother moved, and, as she’d mentioned the brother and sister pair, she couldn’t help but cry, “Having these two grandchildren is the greatest console of my life.”

Her grandmother is illiterate, but Wei-Han Wang is outstanding in the scholastics, made over the scores of ninety in all of her subjects, and, she’d excelled in her extracurricular activities such as calligraphy, recitations, Chinese instruments, track too, but her favorite is art. The principal from her elementary school said, that she’d given up on time of rest on the weekends, and gave Wei-Han Wang the artistic trainings, and, she’d lived up to everybody else’s expectations, her art work had been sent to compete outside the school a lot.

So, this young girl, despite how hard she’s having it, she’d still carried the values of hard work, and study, and she’d helped her grandmother by bringing home the money she’d gotten, for good academic performances, and she will do well in her life, carrying her positive attitude, and hardworking mannerisms.
