The newly elected leader of our country, Tsai tossed out a new belief on education, that she’d wanted to offer the younger generations the chance of “Work First, Study Later”. This is a good attitude, toward the changes in the belief systems of the citizens, it’s an alteration to the already-set ways of doing things, and, this idea should be implanted earlier on, and not happening in a hurry.
Ms. Tsai’s beliefs, are of good intentions, but, there are always pros AND cons to these public policies. After the president had spoken, the various groups took various standpoints, some were for, some were against; and, the laypersons are similar in the positions that they are taking up too.
The students are the consumers of education. In the past, the education had been led by the elites, there were, persons from Chicago, Berkeley, to direct the processes; and now, the officials from Harvard are taking the wheels. And because of the differences in cognition and the traditional values that had been, deeply rooted in Taiwan, plus there’s this LACK of rationality in the citizens, as the politicians put forth the better policies, they are said, to waste the resources, but, if they’d offered an alternative, more practical solution, then, the people would say, that the government is not measuring the abilities of the citizens up to standard.
Going in depth in investigation is a good method of figuring out how the consumer will react to the new products. I suggest, that the new government first, sample enough students from the public, private high schools, and the various levels of higher education, and prepare an objective point of view, and state the pros AND the cons of each point of view, and allow the age group which the policies will affect directly to voice their opinions on the matters. I believe, that this would give more value to which way the president is to decide.
And so, this is how a leader of a country RUNS a government, in the world, anywhere, really, when they see a good idea (to them, but nobody else thinks it’s a good idea), the leader would push, push, and PUSH, to pass related laws, legislatures, without first, surveying HOW the public will adapt to this brand new thought, brand new belief, or brand new policy, and, the president here forgot to consider that hey, what works for people in the States over there, may NOT work for people who live here, after all, hello, hello, hello??? There are, HUGE cultural differences, in VALUE, and other things too you know???
