One of my third year student who’d been excellent in school walked into the office, he’d stuttered and told me, “Teacher, can you keep my cell phone for me, until the sectional exams are finished in May?”, he’d told me, that studying at home, he’d picked up his cell phone, and played with it, getting distracted from his studies, which made his study time counterproductive.
and this, is just how serious this is getting in the world right now!!!
“Keeping my cell phone for me”, this started, spreading in the classes, and there were, students from other classes who’d replied to this matter too. Behind the icy cell phones, what’s at stake is the students’ ability to reflect on their own behaviors, what it’d signified even more was, the trust these students had, placed in the instructors.
Some say, that students are passive, that they can’t manage themselves well at all; some stated, that the students could well turn their cells in, to their parents for keeps, could there be, a problem in the ways that children are relating to the parents; but, I’d believed, that the school instructors can help guide the students, help them out, and exert more influences, by looking after their cell phones for them.
I was dining at a restaurant once, and at the next table, there were, five or six high schoolers, sliding on their cells while eating, they’d not shared any eye contact at all, they were all, looking down at their cells, smiling, and they’d used LINE, instead of having face-to-face interactions already.
and, STOP laughing, it’s NO joke here!!!

Those who are too deeply attracted into the internet needed the reminders and the cares and concerns, so they can slowly, put down their cell phones, and start feeling the warmth of the interactions they would have with real human beings.
And so, this, is how deeply into or high-tech gadgets these days, we can’t live without these machines, and slowly, these machines will eventually, take place of our interpersonal, face-to-face, every day interactions with one another, and this high school teacher is merely, pointing how this is slowly, becoming a trend, that we need to watch out, and NOT allow these high-tech gadgets to, run our lives!
