In this day and age where there’s an influx of social networking, communications applications, who, can we write a letter to? The very first person that came to mind was, Mr. Lin. Once, he was like my father, a shareholder of the company, he was, the CEO, my father, a member of the board. In their once a year meeting, I’d called him, “uncle Lin”. Later on, I’d entered into the company to, and started off as his personal assistant, because we’d both gone to Japan before, that, was why I’d called him, “Lin San”. And, I’d called him, “Lin San” for a total of a DECADE’s time.
In the ten year, I’d still recalled my very first virgin experience of a Japanese phone call, it was, right in front of Mr. Lin. Back then, I thought that he’d not trusted me enough, later on, I’d learned, that he’d wanted to, be there, as my backup. I’d recalled how when we’d gone on business trips by plane and when we rode out on the light rails, Mr. Lin would remind me of the purpose of our trips, or how to interact with the clients we’re about to meet up. I’d never forgotten, how after several evenings after work, he’d called me into his office and had those men’s talks, he’d told me everything he’d gone through, as well as his expectations, his hopes, and dreams for the company too.
And still, things didn’t work I, I’d not become his successor, and, a year after I’d left the company to teach, Mr. Lin retired out of the shares of the company, and went to U.S. to be with his family.
In the ten years of working in business, Mr. Lin was my first teacher, led me all the way from a special assistant to a coordinating assistant. Everything I’d learned from him, I’d still made us of in my current life.

Mr. Lin was, twelve years older than I am, he should be, in his sixties, going towards his seventies this year. At the start of this year, I hope, that he is, living very well, with everything going his way in life now.
And so, this, is the beginning of your working career, you were lucky enough, to have an amazing mentor who took you underneath his wings, to teach you everything about the world, and, you’d cherished that part of your life, as well as what you’d learned from this man since.
