In Two Years…the Middle School Sister & Brother Made Their Suicide Attempts by Taking the Leap Off of the Roof of Their Homes

Tragedy hitting this family here, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

Yesterday in the early morning hours, a second year middle school student in Hsinbei City was suspected of falling off of the roof of his home, and died; this middle school student’s older sister two years ago in August also attempted suicide by the same means, but she’d fallen onto the rain roofs, and didn’t lose her life.

The police said, this student went out in the morning with his backpack, and not long thereafter, the residents of the building heard him taking the leap, he’d first hit the sun panel of the sixth and third floors before he finally fell to the ground, suffered head traumas, with multiple fractures on his body, and he’d died as the paramedics rushed him to the hospitals. The police found a pair of shoes by the walls on the rooftop, and found there to be markings of climbing on the walls as well. The family claimed that their son had Tourette’s Syndrome and had a mild case of depression too, which he was medicated for, and had acted suicidal in school as well.

The police investigated and found, that the student who’d died from leaping off the building had an older sister, who, right after graduating from middle school back in 2014, also took the leap, back then, she’d hit the rain roof, then, fell to the railroad tracks by the building, suffered a left hand fracture contusions on both her legs, and was alive; the two of them were both diagnosed with Tourette’s and depression.

Based off of understanding, the middle school student lived with the grandmother, the parents and his older sister, they’d gotten along very well, the parents took their kids to tae-kwon-do, chess, are very focused on their physical and psychological wellbeing; afterwards, the older sister of the deceased youth wrote on Facebook, “Our family is like the five points of a star, filled with happiness; and now, one point went missing, we’re no longer whole.”

The school stated, that every week, they’d arranged for this middle school student to get counseled with the school psychologist or the counselors three time, and every two months, he was taken back to the hospital for his regular follow-up appointments too.

And yet, the death of this young teenage boy still happened, and, there’s still, NO way anybody can foresee this, or find ways to prevent it, because nobody KNOWS what’s going on in the teen’s minds, and couple with his history of depression, all the factors combined, causing him to commit suicide.
