The last lesson he taught you, you’d not understood until, many, many years, after his death, and perhaps, he was, too desperate, to patch things up with you, with the limited amount of time he had left, that he’d come on, too forceful, like he’d, always done.
The last lesson he taught you, you’d not learned, until after he was gone, and now, years had come to past, since that day, that you forced yourself, to show up, at his funeral, and it’d, hit you, alas. The last lesson he taught you, you swore, to never tell anybody else, for he’d used, his very final breath, to convey it to you, and, you’d not wanted, to be estranged from your children, like he was, from his own.
The last lesson he taught you, it was, with his heart, AND soul, but, because you weren’t, receptive, to his ways, you’d not learned it, until, it was, too late………
