The cost of marriage, just like everything ELSE in the world these days, is also, taking that HUGE H-I-K-E, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
There was a footage of fifteen minutes that got passed around online from China this New Year’s holidays, it was on how the high cost of marriages in country sides in China it’d roused up the discussions of how much it would cost, to marry. Some had once estimated, that in Shenzhen, marriage would cost over ten million dollars N.T., meaning that someone would have to stop eating and drinking for thirty whole years, to manage to save up the money to marry.
and, for those of you who needs a “visual”, this, is what all of that looks like…
and no, I still did NOT come UP with this “diagram” here either, ‘k???
The basic costs of marriage in China from the “few dollars” six decades ago, rose to a skyrocket high of over millions of RMBs and this still didn’t include the cost for the houses; and the traditional “three items”, from the watch, the bicycle, and sewing machine back in the 1970s, upgraded into the current, property, car, and RMBs too. In actuality, “parents, paying for the kids’ marriages” had, become the way the newlyweds handled the costs of the highly priced marriages. The statistics from recent years showed, that nearly half of all newlyweds received twenty to sixty percent of the total costs of their marriage from their own parents.
And the price for getting married, like the price of EVERYTHING else, your living requirements (i.e. food, shelter, car, groceries, etc., etc., etc.) is also, on the rise, and, at the rate that this “hike” is going, NONE of you will be able to afford a marriage, in the upcoming years…
