Both the Parents Died in the Earthquake, the Four-Year-Old Son Became the Sole Survivor

A child who’d lost BOTH his parents, and he’d undergone an amputation too, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

The married couple, Tsai and Lee’s bodies were uncovered yesterday, and of the family of three, the four-year-old young son who was rescued on the early morning of the sixths, whose upper limbs were very severely injured to the point that the doctors almost had to amputate him, was the sole survivor, but he’s still under emergent rescue in Chenggong University Hospital; Tsai’s father told, that his grandson is getting better, but he’d had nightmares from time to time, and he’d still had, yet to deliver the news of his own son’s and his daughter-in-law’s death to the young child yet.
the photos of search and rescue in Japan…

“My son and my daughter-in-law had both died, and I still have one more grandson remaining!”, as Tsai’s father arrived at the city morgue in Tainan to identify the bodies, and confirmed that his son and daughter-in-law are both dead, he’d said in a heartbroken manner, his tears had already run dry, and now, all he could do is, to keep his faith up, because he would be the one, left with the task of raising up his own grandson, so his son and daughter-in-law won’t have any worries after they’d died.

Tsai’s father told, on the day of the earthquake, he’d ridden his motorcycle to the scene, saw the house completely fallen down, he was so worried he’d started to cry, not long thereafter, his grandson was found alive, and, he’d originally hoped, that his son and daughter-in-law would be too, but, it was, not good news for them both, “Since my son and daughter-in-law left my grandson to me, then, I will, raise him up into an adult.”

not my photograph still…

Lee was a student from the Nanhua University in Chiayi, from the department of Life and Death, his classmate, Wang posted on Facebook on Sunday, “I pray that they’re both all right, we still have a class reunion in March!”, but, with the couples’ bodies being found, Lee not only wouldn’t make it to the class reunion, he’d also, left behind, a four-year-old young son too, it’d made the classmates heartbroken.

The four-year-old son of Lee and Tsai, althought was saved in the shortest time, but, his arms were, pressed hard by the cement bricks, he was, faced with amputation, after the doctors did what they could for him, his life was spared, and he’s slowly, regaining his health now, in the hospitals, he’d hollered every single day continually, “I want to go home, I want my mom!”, and, his young, childish face was often, covered in tears, it’d made the nurses and the doctors hearts wrench, but, none of them can bear, to tell him the news, of both his parents’ deaths.

still NOT my photograph…

And so, this, is a child who’d become, the SOLE survivor, and, his life would be hard from here on out, after all, he is, only four years old, and already lost his mom and dad in a horrible earthquake, and the recovery process would be long AND arduous for him, but, at least, he is still, alive, and, there must be a reason for why he is the survivor of this horrible earthquake.
