Students Had Been Homeschooled for Ages in the States, and the Problems are Slowly, Surfacing

From the Newspapers, translated…

The Internet, telecommunication means are getting more and more connected by the day, this made homeschooling even more convenient, other than Taiwan, in U.S., England, France, and Canada, etc., etc., etc., there are, systems, set up, for homeschooling already.  In 2012, the homeschooled children aged from five to seventeen in the U.S. had increased to 1.77 million, this took up 3.4 percent of the students going to school.  Worried about campus safety, and not believing that the systems of education is working well, is the primary reasons why American parents chose to homeschool their own young.

The Department of Education recently posted its research findings on the workings of homeschooling in the States, there was, a completely curricula, materials, and the evaluation of what was being learned.  Based off of the Education Statistic Center’s regular reports, in 2012, there were, 177 million of the students between the ages of five and seventeen who were, homeschooled, which took up 3.4 percent of the population of school attending students, compared to the 1.1 million students, it’d shown, a growth by sixty percent.

As for the reason why American students are kept at home, the parents’ worries of the negative environment at school ranked as the top reason, the issues included, campus security, illegal substance abuse, and bullying, making up 55.7 percent.  And the second reason being the parents wanted to give their young a better sense of moral education, and, the third reason for homeschooling being how the parents are dissatisfied with the formal education systems.

And so, these, are the reasons W-H-Y the Americans are turning to home schooling, and, the good thing about homeschooling is that you get to set up the curricula, based off of your children’s levels of understandings (the I.E.P.’s???), where as if you’d sent them off to school, there’s that one-size-fit-all way of education, but, if you keep your children at home, they may not be as well socialized compared to the kids who are attending the regular school sessions with their peers, so, there are, pros AND cons for each, and, if you’re considering homeschooling, you must weigh out the pros and cons thoroughly, to give your child the BEST!
