An excerpt from a book on this awful subject, translated…
In school, you must’ve experienced what it was like, getting picked on by someone else.
Nobody wants to get picked on, and, if you were picked on, you must not feel happy at all, and you’d not know, how to stop the bullying from keep on happening to you.
Nobody wants to just, stand by and watch in these situations, although you knew, that this was wrong, but you have no idea, of how to prevent it from happening again, and again.
You know what? Nobody wants to be the bully either. Your classmates who’d bullied others are actually, wearing masks, to protect her/himself who’d been hurt too.
I hope, that this story can, get you to think, to get to understand yourself, as well as others, better. So the next time incidences of bullying happen, you won’t feel so awful, and even do something about it, to help yourself, as well, as the other person too.
So, this, is the parent, explaining why bullying occurs, and, bullying DOES hurt, not just for the ones getting picked on, but for those who picked on others too, because the bullies are hurt by someone else they can’t stand up against, that, is why they feel the need and are compelled to, pick on someone else, and after you realize this, hopefully, you can find ways to effectively, deal with someone who bullies you, and prevent bullying from going further, because you were, on the receiving end, and you KNOW how it felt, don’t you??? And, it still, didn’t feel good at all!
