Getting Suspended for Carrying a Classmate Out of Class Because She Was Having an Asthma Attack

This is when doing something good BACKFIRED, from Yahoo!.com…

A boy in a middle school in Killeen, TX was suspended for leaving the classroom, as his teacher was talking, and the reason for him getting up to leave was to carry a classmate who was having an asthma attack to the school nurse.

And, guess WHAT sort of an education you’d be, teaching TO the other students in the class?  Oh yeah, we should, watching someone DIE, and not help out, because the nurse’s office hadn’t “responded” to the note sent by the teacher on the happenings of the classroom.

Had this young man NOT done what he did, this female classmate of his may have DIED, and, if this female classmate had died, then, wouldn’t the school be SUED, to not doing something to help her out?  And this young man had, and he’d gotten reprimanded for it, what does that tell you about the way things work in the world?  If the classrooms are supposed to be a miniature of the real world?
