Why Was the Child Compelled to Lie, on the Education of the Younger Generations

A look, into what had, compelled a child, to tell a lie, translated…

No one is a natural born liar, even if it’s an excellent conman, the person must practice over and over again.  As for the children who hadn’t been into the world, there’s no doubt, that they weren’t born as liars.

One early morning, I’d gone to my older sister’s to help her look after my four-year-old niece, at a little past eleven, she’d told me that she was hungry and wanted some milk, and I’d poured her a glass; at one in the afternoon, my older sister came home, I saw how flustered she was, and already walking toward the kitchens to get ready to cook lunch, I’d told her, that she’d already, had some milk, that there’s no need, to cook so soon.

And, my older sister got furious with me, she’d screamed out, “Didn’t I tell you NOT to give her any food before lunchtime?”, hearing how angry my older sister was, a sullen expression came over my face, the air froze.  We were at a standstill for more than a dozen seconds, my sister was embarrassed, and found a way out for herself, told my niece who was still in shock, “You lied to your aunt about being hungry, didn’t you?”, my niece fell silent.

I started, “if she’s hungry, she’s hungry, why would she go to the extents to lie to me?  If you can’t believe that she’s telling the truth, then for the future, she’ll only be forced to lie to you.”  After hearing my words, my older sister became embarrassed and apologized.

I think, the reason why the child lies is not on purpose at time, it’s just, that under certain circumstances, even if they’d told the truth, the adults wouldn’t believe them anyway.  And, once the adults discovered that children were lying to them, they’d usually blamed the children for being dishonest, but they’d rarely thought about why, the children would go through the measures, to concoct up those lies.

There are, no natural born liars, and, nobody wants to become a bad child who lies to the adults constantly.  Toward the kids who lie, other than reprimanding and punishing them, the adults should probably think about the motives behind the children’s lies, and maybe that way, after the roots of the lies were found, the adults could treat them, and help the children change their habits of lying altogether.

So, the child here lied because she didn’t want to be punished, because she KNEW she shouldn’t have had that snack before meal, as the past experiences of having snacks before the meals had, ruined her appetite, but, this time, as the aunt came to babysit, the young girl saw an opportunity, because the aunt didn’t know the house rules, and, the aunt actually taught the mother of this young girl a valuable lesson about what had, compelled her own daughter to lie too.
