A colonel in the army, Lin, used his status as a superior, had multiple times, harassed a female captain, using inappropriate language and movements, the military had called a conference to discuss the matter, and the members of the army believed, that sexual harassment did occur, and he was sent to be processed in the courts, it’s still the first trial. The members of the examination courts agreed unanimously, to impeach him, and sent him to the disciplinary commissions to process.
The members of the Department of Defense pointed out, that based off of the rules of the sexes in the dorms, when two opposite sex individuals are in the same room together, the doors should be opened, and there were, officers who’d forgotten to keep the doors opened, who were reprimanded, and this time, Colonel Lin’s behaviors were even more outrageous.
The military and the commissions disclosed that after Lin was sent to the justice department to process, he’d immediately submitted his retirement papers, and the army didn’t allow for it. He was given a large reprimand, and three small ones, given two warnings, and demoted to a nonmanagerial post.
The officer in the investigating committee told, that Lin had multiple times, harassed a female captain, including when they were alone in his office, he’d touched her breasts, and had even inquired her, “do you want to go to a sauna with me?”, and texted sexually illicit messages to her phone; and had had her taken him to and from work, or buy him his cigarettes, breakfasts, etc., etc., etc., and sometimes, he’d not, paid her.
The female captain had “reminded” Lin using other higher officers, Lin behaved himself more, but then, the captain was touched inappropriately by him on the breasts, and buttocks, and he’d even, bear hugged her from behind too. Last June, she’d had an emotional meltdown, another colonel learned of what had happened, and reported the matter to the superior, and that, was when the whole thing busted open.
As Lin was questioned, he’d admitted to most of the accusations that the female officer had made toward him, but said that it was because the female captain was an old subordinate, that he may have gone too far with the jokes, and that when the touching happened, they were all, unintentional. Afterwards, he’d admitted, that most of the behaviors, he had acted too frivolous, that he’d not weighed in that he was, her superior enough.
And so, this was still, a SLAP on the wrist for this loser who’d constantly molested his female subordinate, and, there’s just NO way of preventing this from happening in the army, especially when the army is still, mostly dominated by males.
