The Eighty-Year-Old Couple Didn’t Want to Burden Their Young, They’d Burned Charcoal and Committed Suicide

The eighty-eight year-old elderly man, Lee was found yesterday, to have committed suicide by burning charcoal at his residence with his eighty-four year-old wife who’d been diagnosed with depression and Alzheimer’s, the elderly woman died, the elderly man is still in critical condition after the paramedics saved his life; the police said, that the elderly left a signed note, stated, that they’re aged, and with illnesses and didn’t want to drag their three daughters down with them, after they’d discussed the matter, they’d decided, to do away with their own lives.

The one who’d discovered the scene was the female nurse’s aide who’d started working for just four days ago, she’d told, that the elderly couple were originally looked after by foreign hired helper, awhile ago, the foreign helper returned back to her own home country and she took over during the daytime; the elderly couple have the habit of exercising outdoors in the morn, yesterday at eight in the morn, she arrived at the elderly couple’s place, the neighbors told her that they’d not seen them outside, that they may still be sleeping, she’d waited until nine then, opened up the doors, but the moment the door opened, she’d smelled that scent of something being burnt.

The female nurse’s aide realized that something wasn’t wrong, she’d opened up the doors to the elderly couple’s bedroom, found the two of them, dressed up well, lying on the bed, and inside the wok on the floor was filled with burning charcoal.  The paramedics were called and arrived at the scene, found the elderly woman already dead and had become, stiffened, the elderly man still had sign of life in him, they’d rushed him to the hospitals; the female nurse’s aide was in the house too long, breathed in some carbon monoxide, and fell ill too, but after she’d taken a break, she was okay.

So, this, is how the elderly had not wanted to impose their conditions onto their young, and this, is what not having good health leaves you at old age, in need of someone else to look after you, to rely on someone else, for the most basic of things, and, this couple simply, couldn’t live like that anymore, so, they’d decided, to take their own lives.
