Bad parenting behaviors here, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
“You, crawl home and apologize to grandma!”, a woman Lai, was displeased at how her eleven-year-old son didn’t take in her word, to head to his grandmother’s to accompany her because she was ill, instead, he’d, snuck out to the parks, and hung out with a group of friends, she’d made him crawl, over hundreds of meters all the way home; the public filmed the footage down, and, posted online, and, the video had, gotten the debate on how it was, child abuse. The social workers caught up with Lai yesterday, she’d said that she’d not used the right methods of discipline, the Social Services Department will be forcing her to take parenting courses.
Based off of understanding, after Lai divorced, she’d taken her son home to live with her mother, for the sake of making ends meet, Lai worked long hours, and didn’t have enough time to spend with her son, her son is very naughty, is a long-term follow-up case for protection listed by the Social Services Department.
On New Year’s Day, before Lai headed out, she’d told her son, to behave himself, stay at home, to not worry his ill grandmother, but, the son snuck out to the park to play, and the elderly couldn’t find him and became, stressed out, after Lai came home, she’d gotten mad at how her son misbehaved, and saw him hanging out with a bunch of misbehaving teenagers, s he’d screamed angrily, “You, crawl your way home now, and apologize to grandma.”
Lai watched, as her son, crawled, on the sidewalks, and her son would turn his head, and begged her to allow him to get back up again, she’d scolded, “Think about what you’d done.” The little boy’s crawling a little over a hundred meters had been taped down by residents nearby and posted online, the residents believed, that this way of punishing him would damage his ego, that it’s, considered, abuse.
The police and the Social Services Department had gotten calls on this, and, after they’d crosschecked the footage, they’d found, that it was Lai and her son, yesterday, they’d had social workers to pay a visit to their home. Lai stated, that her son is misbehaving all the time, which was why she was angered, and punished him like so, but she didn’t have any intentions of child abuse at all. the Social Services Department stated, that as they’d interviewed the mother and the child, both were very emotionally stable, and both believed that they’d done wrong, and for now, the case is ruled as excessive discipline, and will force the mother to take parenting courses.
And so, this mother lost control, and, because this little boy has a history of misbehaving, that, is why the mother made him crawl all the way home, and, the little boy did misbehave, it’s just that the mother’s punishments were, a bit overboard, that, was why it’d raised some concerns.
