The woman, Hsu who’d been married for fifteen years suspected that her husband was having an affair, four months ago, she’d signed the papers for divorce, moved away from home, and, her ex had, lived in the house which was registered under her name.  Several days ago, she’d asked her husband to shoulder his share of the mortgage, but he refused, and she’d found, that a woman had, moved into her property, yesterday she was really angered, and she’d committed arson, gladly, the fire was, put out in time, didn’t cause any serious damages; she was charged with public endangerment.

The police investigated, that the forty-four year-old Hsu and her forty-five year-old husband has a son and a daughter together, after they divorced, Hsu took her college age son and moved out, and, the original place was left, for her middle school age daughter and husband to live in; Hsu is in the process of filing the claims, to get her house back.

Yesterday morning at around nine, Hsu drove to her ex-husband’s residence with a total of seven kegs of gasoline, she’d poured gas over the newspapers, stuffed the papers into the blinds, and lit it up, then, she drove away.

Her ex, her daughter, and his female friend were asleep, heard someone from outside screaming, CALL the fire department, they were, all, awakened, found that the front doors, the screens were lit up, didn’t know what to do, gladly, the neighbor who worked as a volunteer firefighter had found it, immediately, took the fire extinguisher to put out the blaze, there wasn’t any, major damages.

The volunteer firefighter, Tang said, he saw a woman walking toward the resident with a rolled up newspaper, but as she’d returned, the newspapers wasn’t in her hand anymore, he felt odd, walked up to see, and found that there was a fire, other than screaming outside the house, to wake up the residents who were still asleep inside, he’d immediately called 119, and helped put out the fire.

The police were called, and they’d reviewed the surveillance, and found, that Hsu was involved, two hours later, she was arrested; as she was taken to the subprecinct, she’d broken down, started screaming, “Why did you treat me like this?”, and attempted to hurt herself by banging her head against the walls.

Her older brother told, that his younger sister has a history of depressions, and that it might have been how she’d received the mortgage payment reminders recently that’s triggered her emotions.  Her ex said that back then, it was she who’d told him he’d wanted to divorce, she was, emotionally unstable, believed that the family mistreated her, and would get physically violent, made suicide threats, and after the divorce, she’d gone to his place, to harass them, to move his things around, he couldn’t put up with is ex, making troubles, two months ago, he’d filed for a restraining order.

And so, we have here, an emotionally unstable woman, who felt uneven, because her husband is living in the house that she owned, and she couldn’t kick them out, and that, was why she’d gone to the extremes.
