Awhile ago, I received a call from a former classmate, she teaches at Taoyuan, the parents in the school district she teaches at, had unbelievable ways of teaching their young. In the phones, she’d started, getting worked up, and all I could do was console with her: the greater environment isn’t at all, friendly to the school teachers, causing this lowering statuses of instructors to exacerbate more and more.
She said, that on the major exams, one of her students had, cheated, based off of the school’s rules, one large reprimand should’ve been given, she’d asked the parents to school, and, the parents not only didn’t blame the students, instead grilled her, “Is cheating committing arson, or murder? You need to understand, that my kid cheated, because he cared about his grades, if he’s a kid who doesn’t care at all, he wouldn’t have done it!”, right then and there, my classmate felt fumed, not knowing how to reply.
I’d also, bumped into kids who fell behind on their studies and wanted to offer them extra help outside of class, but I was, turned down by the parents, “Teacher, I know my own child, he’d just, come to being late, there’s no need, for you, to give him extra help.” Some of the kids, after they’d passed the golden learning period, and when they couldn’t catch up in the ninth grades, that, was when the parents started regretting.
Some of the teachers who’d taught for a very long time sighed, “It’s not that the teachers don’t want to help the students, it’s how the students won’t allow us to help them! Plus, they’d gone to report on the teachers all the time, I think, we should all, save ourselves first!”
In the era, when all sorts of physical discipline are banned, the parents had, spoiled their you ng, and this sort of “taking the young, beating on the school teachers”, will become, a trend. Parents, if you love your young, then, don’t hurt them, if the children really misbehaved, communicate well with the school teachers, and, help the child change her/his behaviors quickly, it’s better than to have them, pay for their own mistakes later on in life.
And so, you do see, how the parents ARE, asking the schools, the teachers, to spoil their own young here, right? I mean, when you misbehaved back as a child, don’t your parents beat you, to TEACH you right from wrong? I mean, I’m sure, that they wouldn’t beat you after you’re older, but hey, schools are a place, where you’re placing your young, into, to LEARN, and sometimes, there would be needs of, reinforcements, as well as punishments, for learning to be effective.
