From the Victory Bunch, the Thirty-Three Year-Old Male Judge from Kinmen Killed Himself

Why, would someone who’s had it made, kill himself???  From the Front Page Sections, translated…

The District Court Judge from Kinmen, Cheng had signed up for the offices in Kinmen because his girlfriend who as trained in the same term as he was assigned to judgeship in Kinmen.  On Christmas Day, Cheng was suspected of having love troubles that he’d taken the medications to kill himself; the D.A.s ruled out foul play from outside forces.

The handover of the old and the new officers of Kinmen’s District Courts that happened yesterday was overshadowed by this tragedy.  The coworkers told, that Cheng and his girlfriend were the it pair from everybody’d point of view, upon being told that he’d taken the meds and committed suicide, everybody was with a heavy heart.

Chen, the thirty-three-year-old judge graduated from the law department, the law school of a public university, and started dating with his female classmate at the judge training schools.  The female judge was from Kinmen, she’d written it that she’d wanted to work in Kinmen, and, Cheng, to be with her, wrote that he’d wanted to, serve his judgeship in Kinmen as well, they’d started, working together.

On the afternoon of the 25^th, Cheng, in the dormitories of the judges took huge quantities of sleeping pills and other medications, after his coworkers found him, they’d rushed him to the Kinmen Hospital of the Department of Sanitations, then, took him back to the Changgang Hospital in Linkou, and, they couldn’t resuscitate him, and he’d died.  Cheng didn’t leave a final note.

The Kinmen District Attorney’s Office on the 26^th asked the Hsinbei District Attorney’s Office to rule on the case, and the D.A. overseeing the case was Cheng’s past classmate.  Cheng’s family told, that they don’t know what made him swallow the pills all of a sudden, that they’re fine with the cause of death.

Based off of understanding, the two of them are fitted well together, compatible in looks, in level of education, along with everything else, they were the it pair noted by the Kinmen’s justice department.  But, some of the coworkers of Cheng disclosed, that although Cheng belonged to the “victory bunch” of life, he’d kept to himself, and was not as optimistic as the outside world sees him as.

The internal affairs department of the courthouse system in Kinmen’s manager, Lien said, that in September, Cheng was assigned to Kinmen, is a sunny boy, very handsome, hardworking and outstanding, would often pull the overtimes until the middle of the nights, kind to everybody he met, very courteous, that all of his coworkers liked him a lot.  And, during the four months that Cheng started working in Kinmen, nobody heard him told of his relationships, his interactions with his friends, or his family either.

And so, this judge had merely, put up a false front about himself, wore those masks that people expected him to wear, and in the end, he just couldn’t, deal with the inconsistencies that his outside appearances give people, and how he truly felt, that, was probably what drove him to kill himself, but, we don’t know that for sure, as the only one with the answer to these questions had already died.
