The School Principal Had Said that He’d Helped…But the Bullying Continued, She, Mutilated Her Own Wrist

There was an incident of bullying suspected in a certain middle school in Hsinbei City, a female student was suspected of being attacked multiple times by three boys in her class using bad language, causing her to have nightmares, and, it was suspected that she was under great duress that in class, she’d taken a craft’s knife, and started cutting herself; the parents were angered by this, sued the school, the school said, that it’d already, initiated the anti-bullying counseling programs, and punished the three boys who’d picked on her.

The female student’s mother pointed on, that on the eighth of this month, the homeroom teacher stated that her daughter was abused verbally by her classmates, and, she’d gotten to know more, and learned, that this wasn’t the first time it’d happened, that last month at Scout’s class, a boy in her class had sorted through her drawers without her permission and made fun of her based off of the slips of paper they’d found in her drawer, and lost some decorative items of hers.

She said, that on the ninth she’d gone to school to learn what had happened, and the school principal promised to take care of it,  but, after her daughter and the ones who’d bullied her were called into the principal’s office, nothing’s changed; the mother called the Department of Education, and had not gotten a reply either, and her originally optimistic daughter started having nightmares.

On the sixteenth of this month,, the female student mutilated her own arms in school, the student’s mother rushed to the school, and was blocked, and gotten into an altercation with the officials at the school; she’d told, that that day, her daughter put her head down on her desk, because she wasn’t feeling well, a boy classmate stood right next to her, beat on her lunch box, recited the chants, stated, “Just make her feel  better.”, the daughter couldn’t handle it, that, was why she’d taken out that craft’s knife and started mutilating herself.

The parents went to report the incident at the local police subprecinct, and accused the three boys of public insults and obstructions of freedom, the police already called on the three boys as well as their parents too.

The school explained, that on the ninth after they’d received the concerned call from the female student’s mother, they’d held related conferences, and reported the incident based off of protocol, and started the anti-bullying counseling plan, to get to know the details of the female student’s bullying.

After the female student mutilated herself, the school immediately took care of her cuts, and called on the school counselor to help soothe her mood; and because as the parents came, it was, during class time, and they were, very emotional, that, was why the parents were asked to go to the counselor’s office to meet the children, that they weren’t, blocking the parents from getting to their daughter.  The school stressed, that they’d already taken discipline measures toward the three boys, restricted their freedoms between the classes, and sent them to stand in front of the office, and to clean up the school’s environment.

The assistant director of Hsinbei City’s Department of Education Huang said, that on the 21^st, the school will be holding a parent-teacher conference, and explain the incident to the parents, at the same time, they’re asking the school to promote the understanding of what bullying is, and they’re working alongside the counselors, the psychologists at the school, to make sure, that these incidents get taken care of.

So, this, is how the female student showed how displeased because the boys had made fun of her, by cutting herself, and, this, would be normal, as girls have the tendency, to become violent toward themselves when they’re under stress, and, the school wasn’t proactive in handling of the matter, because it wasn’t until the parents of this girl sued them, did the school find the three boys, and had the do volunteer duties.
